This policy explains what information FocusConnect (“we,” “us”) collects through focusconnect.com, how we use it, and the choices you have.

The short version:

• This website has no user accounts, client portal, or logins, and we never ask for passwords through it.
• We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site. We don’t use advertising pixels or sell ads.
• Otherwise we only collect what you choose to send us through a form, plus standard server logs kept by our host.
• We do not sell or rent personal information.

Scope of this policy

This policy covers visitors to this website. It does not cover the managed IT, cybersecurity, or compliance services we provide to clients. Any client data we access while delivering those services is governed by that client’s services agreement and, where applicable, its business associate agreement or data processing terms. We do not store client data on this website.

Information you give us

When you submit a form on this site, we collect the information you enter:

• Contact and capabilities statement forms: first and last name, work email, company, and optionally your phone number, job title, organization size, the service you’re interested in, and your message.
• Newsletter and events signup: your name and email address.

Please don’t send passwords, payment details, health information, controlled unclassified information (CUI), or other sensitive data through these forms. If you need to share sensitive information, contact us and we’ll arrange a secure method.

Information collected automatically

• Server logs. Our hosting provider records standard technical data when you visit, such as IP address, browser type, the page requested, and the time of the request. These logs are used for security, troubleshooting, and preventing abuse.
• Google Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to measure site traffic, such as which pages are visited, how visitors arrive, approximate location (city or region), and device and browser type. Google Analytics sets first-party cookies (named _ga and similar) to recognize returning visitors, and Google processes this data on our behalf. Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses. We use these reports only to improve the site. They are not used for advertising.
• No other cookies. Apart from Google Analytics, this site does not set cookies.
• Theme preference. If you switch between light and dark mode, your choice is saved in your own browser’s local storage so the site remembers it. It never leaves your device and is not sent to us.

How we use your information

• To respond to your inquiry or send the document you requested
• To provide a proposal, quote, or information about our services you asked for
• To send event invitations and newsletter updates if you signed up for them
• To understand how the site is used and improve its content and performance
• To protect this website from spam, abuse, and security threats
• To meet legal obligations

We do not use your information for automated decision-making or profiling, and we do not sell, rent, or share it for advertising.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of service providers who process information on our behalf and only as we instruct:

• Netlify hosts this website, keeps server logs, and receives and stores form submissions.
• ActiveCampaign is our customer relationship and email platform. Form submissions are sent to it from Netlify’s servers so we can follow up and, if you subscribed, send updates. No ActiveCampaign code runs in your browser.
• Google provides Google Analytics, which collects the site-usage data described above. See how Google uses data from sites that use its services.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of our business, in which case this policy would continue to apply to your information.

How long we keep it

We keep form submissions and contact records for as long as needed to respond to you and maintain our business relationship, and to meet legal, accounting, or contractual requirements. Server logs are kept for a limited period by our hosting provider. When information is no longer needed, we delete it.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us at any time to:

• See the personal information we hold about you
• Correct information that’s inaccurate
• Delete your information
• Stop sending you newsletters or event updates (every email also includes an unsubscribe link)

Email info@focusconnect.com with your request. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on it, and we’ll respond promptly. We will not treat you differently for exercising these rights.

To stop Google Analytics from collecting data about your visits, you can block cookies for this site in your browser settings or install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. This site does not currently respond to browser privacy signals such as Do Not Track.

Security

This site is served over HTTPS only, with a strict content security policy that allows no third-party code in your browser other than Google Analytics. Access to form submissions is limited to authorized FocusConnect staff using multi-factor authentication. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we protect information with the same practices we apply for our clients.

Children’s privacy

This website is intended for businesses and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Visitors outside the United States

FocusConnect is based in the United States, and information submitted through this site is processed and stored in the United States.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our website or practices change. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when it was last revised.
